Kelingking Beach Nusa Penida | Most Beautiful Island in Bali
Kelingking Beach in Nusa Penida is the Most Beautiful Island in Bali. I visited Nusa Penida which has some of the amazing beaches, you just can’t take your eyes off from Kelingking beach to Angel Billabong and Broken Beach. I spent 24 hours on this amazing Island.
This post has all the details you need to visit this beautiful Island in Bali. Let’s start on how to reach there as there’s no airport at Nusa Penida.
How to reach Nusa Penida
The first stop you need to make is the Bali Airport – Denpasar International Airport. Depending on where you are from the flight tickets might have different rates. But for people traveling from India can get return ticket flights from 150-200$ depending on the month or time of the year you are visiting.
After reaching Bali, you can directly head over to Sanur beach using a Gojek bike taxi or other options available at the airport. Or spend your day in the city and later head over to Nusa Penida. I did the same as my flight was at night so I headed over to the Island the next day. As if you are planning you can do a day trip too but I planned to stay there. So took my time to explore the place.
Cost to reach Nusa Penida
After reaching Sanur beach, you can take the fast boat towards Nusa Penida, which costs you around 200,000 Indonesian Rupiah or around 15$ one way. As I was not returning that day I didn’t book both way tickets. I took th
e El Rey Junior fast boat which was great. And while returning I was charged 50,000 less just 150,000 Indonesian Rupiah to return to Sanur Beach.
Scooter Rental on Nusa Penida Island
The best advice would be once you get off the island don’t just start talking to the taxi or scooter rental vendors there as they charge you a lot from 100,000 to 180,000 Indonesian Rupiah which is a lot. Instead what I did was cross the dock and then after walking around found a scooter vendor who gave me the scooter for just 80,000 Indonesian Rupiah including petrol for a day. Which was cheaper than the deals I was getting at the dock.
Hostels in Nusa Penida
There are many hostels, but I chose the Packer Box which was decently priced at 10$/night. Try booking.com for the best deals around, most of the hostels I stayed in Bali were the same as they looked in the pictures.
Places/Beaches to visit in Nusa Penida
I visited the Kelingking beach which is the highlight if you are going there, but if you plan to go all the way down to the banks. You will have to spare some time, and I was not able to visit the other places after that. As there was no sunlight left till the time we reached Angel Billabong and the Broken beach as it was all dark already. So we had to return and it’s worst if you are planning to go anywhere in Nusa Penida in the dark as there’s rarely any streetlight.
